Welcome to Da Ai Headlines. I’m Siri Su. Thank you for joining us. In Canada, Tzu Chi West Toronto liaison office held a prayer ceremony to promote vegetarianism during the seventh lunar month. At the occasion, Tzu Chi volunteers provided delicious vegetarian food and invited the attendees to adopt a meatless diet.

Tzu Chi volunteers in Canada have participated in the National Indigenous Peoples Day for three consecutive years. This year, they were requested by the event host to set up a Chinese medicine free clinic. Let’s join them there.

In Canada, Tzu Chi academies in Mississauga and Toronto celebrated graduation ceremonies in early June. The graduation ceremonies included tea ceremonies to show gratitude for the teachers as well as song and dance performances.
在加拿大慈濟密西沙加以及北多倫多人文學校，六月初舉辦畢業典禮，典禮中有奉茶、有手語表演，感恩師長。

2017/02/25 Tzu Chi Toronto Branch to host a winter aid distribution for the homeless at a church
多倫多街友發放
Since 2005, the Tzu Chi Toronto Branch in Canada has been collaborating with a local organization, Street Health, to host a winter aid distribution for the homeless at a church every year. Recently, they held the event again to care for more than 250 homeless people by distributing clothing and hot vegetarian meals.
自2005年開始，加拿大慈濟多倫多支會，與當地一個街友身心關懷組織合作，每年冬天會在一座教堂，為街友舉辦冬令發放，最近他們再次合作，關懷250多位街友，贈送防寒物資，遞上素食熱食給他們。

Many are preparing to say goodbye to one another as Tzu Chi’s Work-for-Relief campaign comes to an end in Santa Ana. Tzu Chi held a closing celebration and local residents expressed their gratitude for Tzu Chi’s assistance in many ways.

After 8 days of the Work-for-Relief campaign in Santa Ana, Ecuador, a local school was also able to re-open on time, and the community is thriving. Local residents are no longer living under the cloud of depression that the flooding brought onto the city.
慈濟在厄瓜多聖塔安娜搉動以工代賑，八天來一所當地學校也能順利開學，處處欣欣向榮，當地居民不再處於水患後汙泥城市的陰霾。

2016/05/20 Tzu Chi helped pack relief supplies with Global Medic
To assist the victims of the Fort McMurray wildfire, Tzu Chi volunteers in Canada not only began to canvass for donations, but also helped pack relief supplies with their long-term partner, Global Medic. The two organizations also joined hands to assist earthquake victims in Ecuador by sending over water purifier kits and daily necessities.
