2019 Chinese Year-End Blessing Ceremony

 

Dear friends and Honourable Guests,

The West Toronto Office of Tzu Chi Foundation Canada cordially invites you and your family to join our annual Chinese Year-End Blessing paper help Ceremony. There will be traditional Chinese medicine consultations, informational displays, and a Chinese calligraphy station for New Year’s greetings, as well as video presentations on the contributions of Tzu Chi volunteers both locally and globally in 2018.

Every year on behalf of Master Cheng Yen, we distribute red packets representing her blessings for the Harmony of Humans, Society and the World in the new year to show our sincere gratitude to attendees. We could not have accomplished all that we have without your generous love and support. We hope to see you there.

Tzu Chi Foundation has been in service for 53 years, and the seed of great love has sprouted and grown in Toronto for 24 years. At this time of the year, we would like to express our sincere gratefulness writing essays and appreciation to all Tzu Chi volunteers and donors around the world and close to home.

You, your family and friends are cordially invited to Tzu Chi Toronto’s Year End Blessing Ceremony. The ceremony is held to review the efforts and progress made in 2018 by Tzu Chi in its missions of Charity, Medicine, Education and Humanistic Culture.

The Tzu Chi Foundation has opened a new, first-of-its-kind Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic at Humber College’s North Campus. The clinic will be open to the public and offer integrated and personalized protocols of TCM. Students buy essay will receive hands-on inter-professional education, complete supervised direct patient care hours, determine diagnoses and treatment plans, and gain the valuable hands-on experience.

The Parliament of the World’s Religions took place in Toronto, Canada. This year, 2 Dharma Masters from the Jing Si Abode in Hualien, Taiwan, attended the event, to represent the Tzu Chi Foundation. They strongly promoted the concepts of Vegetarianism, Environmental Protection, and how different religious organizations, all need to unite, in order to spread the power of Great Love, to all of Humanity.

After the Parliament of the World’s Religions venue came to a close, the Dharma Masters took the time to visit the newly opened, Tzu Chi Clinic of Traditional Chinese Medicine, within the Humber College Campus. The Dharma Masters related the message, of just how grateful Tzu Chi is, for their full support, of promoting TCM treatment in Western society.

In Canada, the Parliament of the World's Religions is taking place in Toronto. The event explores the biggest problems facing humanity, which includes climate change and environmental issues. Two Jing Si Abode Dharma Masters and Tzu Chi Foundation's Spokesperson, had the honor of being invited to attend the event.

Tzu Chi Canada Chapter established the Tzu Chi Clinic of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Toronto



A new milestone has been reached with Tzu Chi’s overseas medical mission. After five years of preparation and construction, Tzu Chi Canada Chapter collaborated with the Humber College in Toronto to establish the Tzu Chi Clinic of Traditional Chinese Medicine in October 5, 2018. The inauguration ceremony celebrated this groundbreaking institute in Canada. Not only is it a teaching facility, but it also serves as a fully functioning community clinic, that will serve the Greater Toronto Area. 

The 7th TIMA Canada International TCM Symposium



In light of the success and widespread recognitions from the last six consecutive years in Vancouver, the Tzu Chi International Medical Association Canada (TIMA Canada) is honored to present you the 7th TIMA Canada TCM Symposium on Oct. 5th ~ 8th, 2018 at Toronto. We sincerely hope this event would continue to provide you many excellent presentations and practical workshops. Countless efforts by volunteers including TCM professionals have been put in to ensure the best quality of learning, including bi-lingual translations for presentations, sessions of live demonstrations and panel discussions of this symposium and two special post-symposium workshops. 
 
Participants can receive up to 30 CE hours depends on sessions participated. In this year, we are honored and very grateful to have professors and experts coming from Hong Kong, USA, Taiwan and Canada (east & west coast) to share their excellent and precious skills, knowledge and clinical experiences as well as research accomplishment. We believe this symposium would again become an unforgettable event for all participants!
Special thanks to Humber College for providing the venue and hosting the symposium event, and thanks to the Tzu Chi West Toronto office for providing the venue for the special workshops. We look forward to seeing you in the whole event!
