「靜思」是證嚴上人現出家相前自取的名字；「精舍」則是修行人清修的道場。靜思精舍，是慈濟功德會的發祥地，慈濟人稱之為「心靈故鄉」，也是慈濟世界的源頭活水。
即使已達智慧圓融，更應含蓄謙虛，像稻穗一樣，米粒愈飽滿垂得愈低。
